I’m Kseniya
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to questions about human nature. Why we believe what we believe. Why we repeat patterns even when they hurt us. Why we sometimes abandon what we know to be true just to belong.
Some of these questions came from things I had to figure out the hard way. Others came from noticing how the patterns we live out in our personal lives also play out on a much larger scale, shaping the families, communities, and systems we're part of.
I don't think understanding ourselves is where the work ends. Once we begin to recognize these patterns, we have to consider what we do with that awareness: how we treat people, what we tolerate, what we participate in, and what we pass on to those who come after us. That's a big part of why I make these videos. Because how we learn to see ourselves and each other shapes the kind of world we're creating together.
Long before Leeloolight, I was drawn to the same questions I'm exploring here. They have followed me through years working in education, hospitality, law, helping people navigate unfamiliar systems, and eventually into tech designing for companies like PayPal and Amazon, building products that make people's lives a little easier, and hopefully a little better.
At first glance, these chapters might seem unrelated, but there has always been a common thread connecting them all: fascination with human nature, desire to help people, curiosity about the systems we build around them, and what happens when those systems lose sight of the people they're meant to serve.
My work has taken different forms over the years, but the intention behind it hasn't changed much. I've always wanted to understand things more deeply and use what I learn to make that understanding useful to others. Leeloolight isn't a departure from that path. In many ways, it feels like the missing piece that finally brings all those different parts of me together.
